GAF is the leading producer of roofing products in all of North America. They have demonstrated their long-term commitment to conservation efforts by producing innovative cooling shingles and other products that are leading the industry towards ever-greater sustainability.
To become a GAF Certified Green Roofer, we had to first become a GAF Certified Roofer. Then we had to complete an online course and written test, as well as submit a sustainability assessment and demonstrate our commitment to recycling roofing materials that are torn off during our roofing replacement work. Asphalt shingles are a very common roofing materials in the United States and they are able to be recycled into asphalt road materials. This keeps vast amounts of material out of the landfill. We also offer more energy efficient options for roof replacement, like GAF’s cooling shingles that can reflect heat away from your home, helping to reduce monthly utility bills.
